그런 단어가 있을까? 고전함.. 고전스러움은 너무 길다. 어차피 그런 느낌도 인간이 정의 내린 것이겠지만, 왠지 코드가 맞는 사람을 느낌으로 알 수 있듯이, 나는 왠지 나무와도 대화가 가능할 것만 같다. 그 그윽한 정지상태. 그냥 그대로 그 자체로서 그곳에 있음. 누가 뭐라 하지 않아도 흔들릴 수 없는 그 묵직한 현존성. 나는 그런 사람이고 싶다.

I feel like I can converse with trees, but very slowly. It is comparable to when you meet another and intuitively know that they have the same code as you and that you could talk for hours without getting tired. So calmly a tree stands. Just be there as itself. No matter what anyone says, it can't be changed. Strong in existence. I want to be that way.

Recently I've had a lot of vivid dreams.
As Freud said, these mysterious dreams are from my subconsious desire. Indeed.
In one of my dreams, I kept trying to find a magnifying glass without sucess.
In another I lost my favourite dress just before I was supposed to go to a party.
In another I visited a house I was always curious about and sensed that it was not the kind of place I could stay longer. So let's move on to reality.
The more real a dream, the longer I think about it and try to find what is behind it.

The full moon has a strange power to lighten wounds in deep inside of the mind and sometimes I think it helps to cure them. Yesterday, I watched a film called ' man on wire'.

A French man who wants to walk between the Twin Towers by putting a wire between the two buildings.

In the film he said, "Everything is possible."

and "At that moment, I thought it looked impossible, so let's start working."

"Life is rebellion, you need to live on the edge of life."

Of coures you can live very safe life like normal people do, but I felt something from this flim. Perhaps that's the way to make the most beautiful things that can't be explained by words.

If you have energy and you are willing to die for your work then you are ready to make a masterpiece. It only happens when you sincerely want it.

The purity of painting always make me cry but it is very rare to see nowadays.

Because we are living in a world with numerous materials. Whatever we imagine, we can make. In this world people make a portrait using a person's DNA. It's a totally different spectrum. In this time are you going to paint person's face in oil? It's difficult. We can't express the zeitgeist by using just perfect traditional no-one dare deny material. Think more...In this time I will finally reach the end of modernity.

It depends on what you feel, what you see and who you are meeting at a specific moment. The same object can be felt in a different way. People see what they want to see. Seeing is the most selfish and indivisual sense we have. Your mental state controls your sight and blocks extra things in front of your eyes. It is like a window in my home. I can only see my area through the window. It all comes from belief. Especially belief from self-defence is the best on earth. I had this kind of experience.

As usual, my drawing started from the point of escapism.

When all the messy torturous things are around me, the best way to avoid them is drawing.

It is because, your desire, passion and yearning, all of them are released from the normal rules. Like in a dream.

Someone said, my works are similar to surrealism.
But I believe reality is more powerful than dreams. Real life is stranger than fiction as you know. But we may need time to give us freedom by going far away. I am not just talking about real distance.
Maybe someday I can go to the moon. If I can go there, I will throw away all my dusts and tears.

Have you ever felt that you are actually in the same place and not going anywhere? Time passes by and it makes you feel like you are getting older and more mature. You feel like you are improving somehow and moving forward to somewhere. But what if it's just you who is getting older and gaining nothing. People think that as the time passes by they are learning something naturally. Like compensation mentality... whatever..I don't know.

We wander around to find a perfectly safe place in our entire lives. As we go outside to seek this special place, we tend to turn back and go back to where we came from, like the homing instinct. That place can be an empty zone, no sound no decoration like a womb.
